Empress Cece was the longest ruling monarch of the 19th century. She ruled from April 21, 1854 until she was assassinated by an anarchist in 1898. "She set standards for certain things," says Burnett. The Empress also had a tattoo that marked her love of the sea and her affinity for sailors.
