The Importance of Knowing God

David knew that all the threats were nothing in comparison to knowing God. He would have declined peace and security without God if he had been offered it. I believe that God is calling his people in the same way right now. The temptation to flee like a bird to our mountain, maybe one in Idaho, looms over all of us. But through it all, God is beckoning.
