The Trial of John Leonard or in the Glendale Fires
John Leonard Orr was found guilty of four counts of first-degree murder and all remaining arson charges, excluding the Warner Brothers' studio fire due to a lack of evidence. He was sentenced to 96 months imprisonment for each count to be served concurrently alongside his 30-year sentence for the central valley fires. The prosecution told the jury that John Orr intentionally lit the fires in the potato chip iles at Von's Market and Davidson's Market shortly before the Ollie's home center fire to create a diversion.
