Credible leaders have to honor the diversity of their many constituencies, they also have to stress their commonalities. So my advice to people in washington would be to look at what brings together, not what separates us. Each and every member of an organization certainly has their own unique needs. But to function as a group, team members must have a strong sense of values, in norms that bind them together.
