How Do You Know When You're Arrogant?

christopher west: We often, for the most part, don't know when we're arrogant. And i can't tell you how many times you've heard stories about other speakers or celebrities er, it's really dangerous. I remember when i realized i was not in a good head space with my notoriety, it's when there was some real public criticism of my work. It sent me in a real tail spin, emotionally and personally. My spiritual director says, if you are looking for your identity in the wrong place, criticism will crush you. And praise will inflate you. If criticism crushes you, that praise also inflates you.
