Harry Truman and John Roggi
John Roggi uncovers this incredible story of corruption, of people like Lundeen taking payoffs from Virik and being involved in this Nazi operation. The implication here is that President Truman kept secret the findings of a Justice Department investigation because it showed his friends in Congress had been facilitating a fascist attempt to subvert democracy. And then when the investigator doesn't keep it secret, Wheeler tells the president to fire the guy. That's what led to that FBI agent tracking down Roggi in a little airport in Spokane, Washington to tell him his career was over.
