How to Bring Your Attention Into Your Body
Find a really comfortable seated position, close the eyes and just allow yourself to bring your attention into your body. One of the easiest ways to come home to the body is first just take a nice, long, smooth, in-breath that's really full. The longer we extend the out-breath, the more we engage the parasympathetic, which is the brakes for the autonomic nervous system. In very few breaths, we can begin to feel the jumpiness at times of attention or anxiety.
