The Stages of Community
"If we don't move beyond community, an immature church community, we are going to struggle and we're going to be stifled," he says. "I felt this, it was my lived experience, but I didn't have a name for it." The first stage of community is called 'pseudo community,' where everyone validates each other's ideal Christian or otherwise experience. In chaos, the cumulative amount of suffering is so high that everyone leaves their egos at the door. And they empty themselves of all preconceived notions of their own arrogance.
