Is There Still a Gap Between Climate Change and Action?
Russia's promised to reduce omissions by 30 %, a target it's on track to hit. Environmental journalist olga dobvidover says the key thing is how russia is hitting the target. They chose a base line of 19 90. The only reason russia is one of the few countries that actually managed to reduce emissions since 19 90 was this enormous economic collapse. When it gets going again, it gives you room to increase omissions while still hitting your target. So technically, i think it's achievable even if we do nothing, or just coast along with no specific, targeted action on climate change.
