Cromemco's Z 80 Altar Bus
The z 80 had more instructions, was a little faster and crucially for the bus story, the z 80 had a different pin out. The ordering of how signals mapped on to the physical pins of the z 80 was different than that of the 80 80. You can't just drop a z 80 into a circuit where an intel chip was sitting. Zilog silicon commands more respect than that.
