The Trial of Rose Vera
Rose and Bill Vera's were officially charged with Steve Mack's murder on September 1st, 1931. At the trial, a string of neighbors and former residents at her boarding house took the stand to speak out against the infamous witch of Del Ray. One witness testified that Rose had previously attempted to poison Mac, but that it was taking too long to kill him. Even an 11 year old neighborhood girl saw this all go down.
