The Journey to Party Conference - Liz Truss and Michael Gove
It was very significant that Liz Truss clearly wanted the main message to start conference with, it was a note of humility in her interview with Laura Koonzberg. I thought it was fascinating that she looked at Gove directly across the interview room this morning. And that attempt at warmth was met with the most icy response by Gove. There is an inadequate realisation at the top of government of the scale of change required. It could have been a feature on Frozen Planet 2, it was so icy.
