Is It Ethical to Give People Feedback on the IAT?
Is it ethical to give people a score at all when you know that you're measuring their implicit attitudes so noisily? That's the question. So, yeah, I mean, obviously in the ideal world, the feedback would be given along with a very comprehensive explanation of what that feedback can mean. But I think that conversation about the fact that we might have biases that we would prefer not to admit or that sometimes feel like they go against how we want to feel is pretty useful.
