Tim Eweher: Since we're talking about South Asians, I actually thought that the person who comes to mind and whose work has been coming to mind just over and over again is Gayotra Bahadou's nonfiction work called Coolie Woman. Joe Park: When South Asian indentured labor was brought to South America, there was an enormous amount of racism and also coalition building between brown and black and Afro-Latin people.
