Covid patients did experience a much higher percentage of coma totas, which was in turn significantly associated with a nearly six times greater in hospital mortality. Covipations received a higher proportion of sedatives and higher doses for a longer period of time. And the sedacean burden, induch, was significantly higher for covitations during the first ten days of mechanical ventilation. This may have to do with the fact that covipations were also paralyzed more often compared to their non covid counterparts,. as we know, requires deep sedision.
