We do appropriate and kind things when they present themselves, not because we've chosen necessarily to do them. A virtuous person the sage does what is good because they know what good is. We can become more instead of less prone to appropriate action and behavior free of attached strings or self serving conditions. The nearer we move to an absolute understanding of virtue, the better our actions will be.

Do you take credit for your deeds? Do you note them down in a sort of "Virtue ledger"? I think most of us do from time to time. In today's meditation, Marcus encourages himself (and us) to be more like a grape vine. Which will only make sense if you listen.
