High Triglycerides Can Cause Acute Pancreatitis
High triglyceride level is not a sole part of our ASCVD risk calculations for our patients. But that study alone seems to suggest that it does have an impact on cardiovascular outcomes. And I think another thing that you mentioned is that high triglycerides can cause that pancreatitis. It's both a silent killer, but also can lead to an emergency room visit with causing acute pancreatitis. So it almost has both sides with the coin.
