The Importance of Being Present

As a pastor for 20 years to actually see another human being, you know, I would find between services or after services could be the worst time because someone come up. They start giving you the two minute version of their life story. You're thinking about how did the last service go? How much time do I have left? Like, can I just be in the moment and actually pay attention to a human being who is spilling their guts? And sometimes the answer is I'm not. It's too hard.
