The Number One Rule of Walking With the Lord
The number one rule of walking with the Lord, I think, is we always connect our life situation to the nature of God first. Moses put it this way in Deuteronomy 31 verses 6 to 8: "Your God is the one who goes with you and he will not fail you" So presence is everything. You need to understand what God is really like in himself because that's what you're going to call up in your inner man. And the best way of doing that is with thanksgiving and rejoicing.
