Kai: I would love to hear from our authors about some of the books that were sort of far away from your own personal experience. Afterlives by Abdo Razek Gurna is set in early 20th century East Africa, and it's just one of those books that completely envelops you. There was a book by a Bosnian writer named Robert Parrisich called a cat at the end of the world. Bizarre Fable asks its shift perspectives from a runaway slave, and also this bodyless spirit that moves through time and space.
