Adonaija the Son of Hagith and the King's Nurse
Adonaija, the son of Hagith, exalted himself saying, I will be king. He sacrificed sheep, oxen and fatlings by the serpent's stone which is beside Enrogel. Nathan said to Bathsheba, the mother of Solomon, Have you not heard that Adonaija has become king? David our Lord does not know it; he must tell them who should sit on his throne after him. So she came into the king's presence and stood before the king. The maiden was very beautiful and she became the King's nurse - but the King knew her not.
