Is the Chip Industry Global?

There are basically three countries with significant market share in the same conducted supply chain. US is number one at 39%. Korea is number two at 16%. And Taiwan is number three at 12%. China is like a distant fourth on 6%. It's an interesting question if you look at a TSMC where the leadership has all backgrounds in electrical engineering or material science.
