Australian Labor Premier Chavon Daniel Andrews Secures a Third Legislative Year in Victoria
Chavon Daniel Andrews has secured himself a historic third term as Victoria's Premier, after the state election was held on Saturday. The coalition and some business groups want the bill to be delayed until after Christmas, because they have concerns that the changes will create long and complicated negotiations. But the Australian Council of Trade Union Secretary Sally McManus has welcomed the bill. She says it will help women, particularly in sectors like aged care. And she also says it will reduce the number of insecure jobs that we have in Australia.
