There's no suffering in the gray city. They don't suffer any torments until they get right up close to the kingdom of God. That's when they suffer. So, it's hard to say that he's actually rejecting universal. I honestly don't think George McDonald is just you know there's something, the sheer power and clarity of his theology just just renders the contrary views sort of puny and contemptible by comparison.
