When it comes to family secrets, there has to be a certain kind of readiness involved. And my mother's death really took me by surprise in terms of how it impacted me mercially. I worked so hard to keep an emotional distance from her and when she died, i was at her death bed and i was overwrought. I ran from the room. I sobbed like i had never sobbed before.
