I don't ever really edit my photos to be completely honest with you the most I'll ever do is white balance if I take stuff inside. If he does make an edit he wants that to be baked into his canonical shoebox because he's got very bad ideas about how to archive data but yeah what i think this i'm saying no one will get screwed by Apple photos right in the grand scheme of things. The reputation of Apple photos and their lives are reliability is pretty good there will always be people with horror stories about how it corrupted the whole library and just go into everything.
