The Problem of the Currency Board in Bulgaria
By 19 96, money had become almost worthless in bulgaria. hyper inflation had took hold. A loaf of bread would cost over two thousand leve and that was a big bundle of bank notes. Politicians were desperate. They realized how bad the situation of the country wasve bulgaria emerged out of communism after the fall of the soviet union in 19 89. The country found the transition from communism to capitalism hard. By 19 91, the young democracy was in its first economic crisis,. with inflation and unemployment rising rapidly.
