Police were trying to get more evidence on this theory so they found some letters written in different European languages. He was arrested for being a German spy but released very quickly after. After Harriet Lowe passed away, police decided to arrestLouis Bessemer for murder because now Harriet was dead. Before it would have been attempted murder, but as soon as she passed away, that is when they arrested him. He actually spent nine months in jail before he was finally acquitted. But yeah, after that, no one else
