Putin Explodes the Transition to a Mass Economic Power
There's a distinction that is very clear in the West and it's not at all clear from the Russian perspective like there were American advisors within the Yeltsin's government. For post-Soviet Russia this is America doing it we've been closed off from the world, then you got some Americans supposedly experts in how markets work advising us. It wouldn't surprise me if Putin gets what he wants by using his power to get rid of people who don't agree with him.
