When I was young, me and my niggas bonded over hip-hop. Memorizing explicit lyrics, reciting raps in the mirror like we wrote them. That shit was a release. But I stopped memorizing lyrics a long time ago. I don't dance in the mirror no more. And the only rap side occasionally recited are the ones that made me feel like I'm C-Mike again. It's one of the last things Kiese and I talked about before we hung up. You know, like really deep, really deep friendships.
