The Sloan Stable Pace of the Evil Empire

The one that definitely comes to mind for evil empire would be the Mongolian Empire, of course. The Roman Empire from when it went from Republic to Empire under Augustus only lasted like three, four hundred years. So while the Roman Empire feels like from our perspective, this huge monolithic thing that lasted forever, it was really a fairly small blip time wise.
