In Cichin, Poland, they have all these monuments to these exact strikes in the solidarity protest. But when you see monuments or acknowledgments of the minor strike in Britain, it's all like, well, that was labor's last gasp in this country. So I end the book by saying that the uncomfortable fact about 1989 is that government was returned to the people only so that the people's power to resist the government could be overcome.
