A former patient testified that he had been diagnosed with cancer and offered a treatment for $250 in a six week recuperative stay at Hoxie's hospital for $360. He recovered, but not from cancer. The other instance, an FDA undercover agent was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that had metastasized to the lungs and told he had come in just in time for the cancer to be arrested. Millions of copies of false promotional literature are still in circulation, much of it reporting cures of persons who are now dead.
