Is There a Correlation Between Movies About Something and Those Not?

There's a thrill to making a hit scary movie, absolutely. I think it's more interesting if they're about something. Some of them are just straight scary and straight commercial. But even if it isn't about something, if we love it and we think it's scary, we want to do it. There's certain markets where they blow up and others where they don't.
