Is It Natural or Inborn in Your Genes?

I haven't experienced that level of motivation for years. I'm wondering where it comes from. Is it natural or inborn in your genes? And you mentioned that kind of language learner before, like a sponge. How can we pass it on to our students? People have problems with motivation in every part of their lives. There's too much variation between people as individuals. It's interesting how this question is way, way bigger than just the world of language.
