Ruth, whom the book is named after, does not go into the field looking for boas. She's just looking for barley poo, just doing what she has to do to survive. Her sense of responsibility is refreshing for me because i live in a time of such entitlement. To watch her stay with her mother in law, although she had the option to go back to her people and to choose something new that god was leading her into really blows my mind.
