What Is Your Passion for Water Treatment?

Mercedes: I've had a passion for wastewater since undergrad and visiting my first wastewater treatment plant at Purdue University. Colleen: You're combining all the science that you're learning and helping public health to remove pathogens from the environment so with the COVID monitoring we're looking more upstream for community prevalence but usually you're trying to remove those, like cholera and others. Mercedes: It's just great to see like the treatment processes at work and like how important they are.
