The Penguin edition uses the 1726 version with Swift and Ford's edits intermingled as well as some other stuff from manuscripts that appeared to derive from Swift's intentions. Demarius: On the one hand, you have this guy who made a bunch of edits all by himself without asking. And on the otherhand, you have the author of the book who rewrote those parts the way that he wanted it.
