A New Feast of Dedication in the Colnate of Solomon
The second half of john, chapter ten is set in the feast of dedication. The question that the jews ask is literally, how long will you take away our life? In the present context, this plays upon jesus own statements in verses 17 and 18. Jesus is walking in the temple in the colnate of solomon. He is probably not just looking around. Rather, he is there as a place of public discourse and dispute. Yet's an appropriate for him to teach.
