Do SGLT2 Inhibitors Improve Cardiac Outcomes in Patients With Heart Failure?

When it comes to pharmacologic therapy, N-Seds are your first line. If conservative treatment of TMD is ineffective or the diagnosis is in doubt, imaging may be indicated. MRI is preferred for evaluating soft tissue derangements such as disc displacement at the TMJ. A 2020 systematic review looked at patients with diabetes and heart failure with an ejection fraction greater than 45%. They were split into various SGLT2 groups and a placebo group. There was no decrease in cardiac mortality but did find a decrease in hospitalizations from heart failure exacerbation.
