We have a lot of different ways of knowing things. You don't get all of these different kinds of evidence for every site or every period. For some archaeological cultures, some periods, some places and times, you're much more likely to get one kind of evidence than another. And I think that oftentimes when the evidence doesn't tell the same kind of story or you get something unexpected, that's the most interesting.
