Soap has been around since the time of the romans, but it's not universal. When a family has a bar of soap, they don't have the hygiene education that we take for granted here. We've been into communities in india where you meet a family and they have like one bar of soap,. But their priority level is different. They'll use the bar of soap to shower, but they won't use it to wash their dishes.
