The Importance of Poetry in My Life

poetry has consistently been the thing that has kept me going. novels have helped me to specifically meeting characters, seeing something of myself in a character. I didn't like reading as a child for a very long time and throughout my childhood I was difficult when it came to reading. My parents were concerned that I would never read, they were concerned they didn't know what to do, they could not get me to pick up a book. They said I was difficult, I was a difficult child when it comes to reading. When I was young I enjoyed all three together, the theatre, poetry and music but now people carry individual poems around with them which is a shame.
