Hospitality in the Midst of Exile

Hospitality is the practice of the eschatological future, welcoming the stranger to the honored table. Memory forms and sustains missional communities in the midst of exile. The task of missional formation at this time is the recovery of memory. Without it, without its presence, all melts into insubstantial experience.
