Singing is an other worldly type of feeling that you have its atthat you become the song. You know, a lot of people sing it with emotion, obviously, but quite often they get sang with no emotion and i guess i wanted to put some inmotion. The way i see those songs, theyre like ghosts. No one knows who wrote them, t they're part of irish history, and it's important to put them down, keep singing them. And did you get any flack at the time from irish traditional purists?
