The Most Important Thing You Can Do When You're in the Edit Room

Our number one goal is to record the audio. Listening dictates what you shoot, not the other way around. You don't shoot and then do the audio after. If this person is talking about something, someone's got to have it, grab it, show the audience. It's picture telling. That's where I love great camera operators who really get that and who really listen.
