The Future of Cannabinoids
Cannabis is a partial agonist of the cannabinoid receptors, which is why it works as effects. It's really we're just at the dawn of understanding this whole receptor system. Pharmaceutical companies are frankly trying to come up with these designer cannabinoids that would do just what I suggested - tickle one type of receptor and ignore another types. And in and of themselves, they might be really, really effective.
