Reason Is Not a Clenched Fist

Reason is not antagonistic to meaning, it's a source of meaning. It can help produce more joy and wonder in the world. But its opponents apparently come ready for battle and cast it as the violent enemy. The same kind of people who cast criticism as altogether always destructive. Rather than itself truly being what it is, which is a creative act. So you get these, the anti-rational streak through people. This is anti-rationality at times.
