The Death of the Giant Ground Sloths in the Southwest of Ecuador
The remains of at least 22 different giant ground sloths, the remo therum laurelardi. They were found around a marshy little pool of water that looked like a place that had repeatedly been filled with water and then dried up. And based on a number of of cues around this area, the authors decided that they thought most likely interpretation was tha a bunch of giant ground sloth were hanging out in and around this water,. using it to cool their bodies and as a watering hole to drink from and to eat the plants that were growing around.
