The Transition From Politics to Writing
Sage: I wanted to be a writer when I was younger. In high school, I was interested in poetry, wrote poetry. But I just didn't think I saw that as a thing you can do or be for some reason. And I also got caught up in political activism as an undergrad at Berkeley. So it was just my focus at that time and then by the time I was a senior in college, I may have some of these dates a little hazy.
